"When the Man waked up he said, 'What is Wild Dog doing here?' And the Woman said, 'His name is not Wild Dog anymore, but the First Friend, because he will be our friend for always and always and always."

stunning and naTural PORTRAITURE OF YOUR beloved dog

As a dog lover and owner, Rachel endeavours to capture the personality, energy, character and emotion of your dog in each and every photograph taken. Like any other shoot she undertakes, her emphasis is on creating the very best images possible with minimum fuss.

Authenticity is at the heart of her work. The images created are not contrived, rather they are moments of connection and spark that have unfolded naturally, really capturing the character and energy of the animal or human in front of the lens.

Beautiful photographs of cherished animals have enormous sentimental value and Captured With Light specialises in using natural light where possible to obtain beautiful and timeless artwork of you and your dog that you can enjoy looking at every day for years to come.

Each dog portrait shoot is tailor made for your requirements, and shot either on location or at your home. These shoots are designed to be relaxed so that together you will capture the special character of your dog and the incredible bond that you share, in turn creating beautiful images and memories that you will treasure forever.

Making memories with you best friend on our stress-free portrait shoots

Animal psychology plays a key part in running a successful photo shoot. Dogs and pets generally feel more relaxed in familiar surroundings, or in an open space outside.

Each session is tailor made and can combine bespoke portraits in your own home through to a scenic shoot on location. A stress free environment will help to relax your dog who can then bring more of their natural character to the session so they can be captured at their best.

Forget me not sessions

Sadly, none of us are here forever and as a dog owner herself, Rachel knows the feeling of being told that a pet has a limited time left and how important it is to treasure every moment we have left with them.

If your best friend is in failing health Captured With Light provides tailored 'Forget me not sessions' where we can keep the session short and concentrate on key shots; as their well being is the top priority at this extremely emotional time. These are bespoke sessions specifically for best friends in failing health who have limited time left.

These sessions can take place outside on your beloved friends favourite walk, or if they are too unwell the session can be held in the comfort of your own home, so as to put the comfort of your best friend first.

We can focus on key shots of your dog, plus some beautiful images of you and your best friend together. These sessions can be emotional but extremely rewarding, allowing you to honour the relationship that you have with your dog in a sympathetic and respectful way.

If your session is urgent then please telephone or message as soon as you can so that your session can be booked in without delay and worry for you. We understand this challenging time and this is why we will work closely with you to make sure that these special last moments and memories are captured respectfully enabling you to treasure the images forever.
